Malik Willis of the Tennessee Titans is part of the new school of quarterback play.

Just like Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson, he can affect the game with his arm or feet.

That approach is second nature to him because that’s how he played at Liberty.

After transferring from Auburn, he had 2,250 passing yards, 944 rushing yards, and 20 rushing touchdowns in his first season with the Flames.

In his final year, he had 3,735 total yards and 40 touchdowns.

No wonder he is flashing the same skills during the preseason for Tennessee.

In this highlight video shared by the NFL, Willis showed why he could be a threat if given playing time.

The first sequence showed him reversing field and breaking tackles before scoring a rushing touchdown against the Baltimore Ravens.

Then, he lofted a deep completion to wide receiver Racey McMath in the same game.

In the next highlight, he took off when none of his receivers were open against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

He was able to get the first down and some extra yardage.

Willis also found tight end Chigoziem Okonkwo for a touchdown.

He also dashed for a big gain against the Arizona Cardinals and was tackled inside the Titans’ five-yard line.

Finally, as soon as he was hit, he found Treylon Burks who dashed for a touchdown.

Willis’ Preseason Numbers

Against the Ravens, he had six passes for 107 yards, five carries for 38 yards, and a touchdown.

Versus the Buccaneers, Willis finished with seven completions for 80 yards and a touchdown.

He also added five rushing attempts for 42 yards.

Finally, he tallied 15 completions for 131 yards, a touchdown, and an interception against the Cardinals.

He also led the Titans in rushing with 79 yards on four carries.

The Titans will start their season at home against the New York Giants on September 11.
