The rise of the Detroit Lions was a spectacular sight to behold this season.

Although they didn’t make the playoffs, their 9-8 record is something that few believed would be possible from this roster, especially given that they have a second-year coach in Dan Campbell.

What Campbell has been able to do in just two years with this team is nothing short of spectacular, building up a culture that had previously been largely negative.

Even though the Lions didn’t have anything to play for on Sunday night, they didn’t care.

Their culture is now about winning, and truly going all-in.

Campbell has instilled this mentality into the hearts and minds of his players, something that was seen in his initial press conference when he was first hired by the Lions.

Many people were skeptical about his methods and credentials, wondering if a coach like Campbell would be able to succeed in this league.

However, his unorthodox methods appear to have worked.

The Lions’ defense, although still needing improvement, worked very hard this season, and Campbell’s leadership certainly assisted their efforts.

The offense was the fifth-highest scoring this season, and it felt like they were constantly energized and motivated to succeed.

Heading into 2023, the Lions look to build on the success that they found this season.

The Lions will have two first-round draft picks in 2023, picking sixth and 18th overall.

Their offense and defense were both powered by young players this season, which was a result of great draft decisions.

We will soon see how the Lions fare in their 2023 drafting efforts.
