They are 94-55, owners of the second-best mark in MLB behind the Los Angeles Dodgers.

You can tell he has the respect of the clubhouse.
He finally gets to relax a bit after a long, grueling season of injuries and dealing with the New York press.
The job, however, is not finished.
This is the fourth MLB franchise that Showalter has taken to the postseason after the New York Yankees and Arizona Diamondbacks in the nineties and the Baltimore Orioles in the mid-2010s.
Now, Mets fans officially have license to dream about winning their third World Series championship in franchise history.
The Mets Road To The World Series Won’t Be Easy
It won’t be easy at all: the Atlanta Braves are more than ready to defend their crown, and the Los Angeles Dodgers, St. Louis Cardinals, Houston Astros and the Yankees are all looking solid.
The Mets, however, believe in Showalter and his leadership skills.
They believe in his system, and they believe in his coaches.
Most importantly, the Mets appear to have all departments pulling for the same side for the first time in years.
Organizationally, the seem to be in a much better place than in the Wilpon era.
It all starts from the top, and it shows.
Will this be the year in which Mets fan finally celebrate for the first time since 1986?
We will know in a few weeks.
