Three Recent Casual Summer Outfits

Button Down: AYR (wearing a small) | Shorts: AYR (wearing a medium) | Flats: Chanel | Bag: Chanel Medium Flap in 14C

Three recent summer outfits that have been on rotation. This year, I’ve been rotating denim shorts (as per usual), easy linen pieces and matching short and button down sets.

The MVP of my summer wardrobe has been two piece sets, pictured above. They’re so easy to throw on and work paired together or on their own. At this point, I’ve purchased five: three from AYR and two from Amazon. The AYR is definitely better quality and the price reflects it. However, for the lower price point, I’m happy with the Amazon version. If you’re interested in seeing more photos, I have it saved in my ‘summer looks’ highlight.

Tee: Zara | Shorts: Club Monaco | Belt: Khaite | Flats: Chanel |Bag: Chanel via LePrix |

I got these shorts from Club Monaco two years ago and was pleasantly surprised to find them still on their site. They come with their own belt, but for the above outfit, I replaced it with my favorite Khaite belt. While you’ll often find me in a monochromatic look, I really do love the contrast of a dark and light number.

Tee: ATM (in a medium) | Shorts: AGolde (TTS) | Slides: Hermes Oran (another budget friendly option) | Bag: Marni | Sweatshirt: Amazon Fashion (I own it in a large and it’s slightly oversized)

As far as shorts go, while I’ve always loved my AGolde and find I wear them more than any others, their newer ‘Parker Long’ style has been my favorite. The pair I’m wearing here is actually NOT the longer style, but the regular Parker. Don’t get me wrong, I still love them, but lately, I’m leaning towards the (ever-so-slightly) longer hem. For reference, I’m a little under 5’7.”

Also, I mentioned debating these Hermes Oran sandals on instagram last week. I already owned two pairs (white and the cognac) and while that sounds like a lot, year after year, I’ve worn them more than any other shoes I own. After getting the black, I’m glad I went for it.  I could tell they’re going to get a lot of love. For sizing references, I size up from a 39 to a 39.5. I do find them comfortable, but there is certainly a break-in period, something I was quickly reminded of.
