The San Antonio Spurs are about to embark on what may be a very difficult season.

It’s no secret that the squad has lost its biggest player and is in a rebuilding phase that may take years to complete.

But even if the season ahead is a tough one, this iconic NBA team will still have many people watching them.

And they will possibly make history too.

The Spurs will return to play at the Alamodome in San Antonio on January 13, 2023.

By doing this, they will try to break the attendance record for a regular NBA game and will attempt to bring in more than 65,000 attendees to the game.

We don’t know who they are playing against and we don’t know if they will break the record but we do know many Spurs fans will race to this special game.

A Spurs Celebration

On Wednesday, August 17, we will know just which team will face off against the Spurs at the Alamodome.

No matter who they are playing, it’ll be a very significant game for fans of San Antonio.

It’s been a long time since the squad has been something special but the loyal fanbase has never left their guys.

This is partly because of the impressive history of the team and also because of their head coach, Gregg Popovich.

Popovich has earned a sort of loyalty that will not ever go away, no matter how bad the team becomes.

When the franchise recently lost its best star, Dejounte Murray, most people assumed that hard times were ahead.

While that may be true, the fans aren’t going anywhere.

Besides, the Spurs could over-perform and impress – it wouldn’t be the first time they have beaten the odds.
