The NBA is always looking for ways to keep its fans engaged.

After all, a long 82-game season can make some fans lose interest from time to time.

So they are trying something new with one of the best personalities around basketball.

That is a new telecast called “Throw It Down with Bill Walton“, which will feature the NBA legend calling an NBA game on League Pass.

As many know, Walton has become a big part of Pac-12 basketball coverage over the years.

His antics and enthusiasm while calling games have become something that fans tune in to see.

It makes sense that the first game Walton will call is of one of his former teams, the Portland Trail Blazers.

But, this telecast will be far more than just Walton.

The show will also have some top celebrities, NBA fans, and basketball legends joining Walton to talk about the game.

On the show debuting tonight, Walton is expected to be joined by Julius Erving, Phil Knight, and Adam Sandler.

Erving is an NBA legend similar to Walton, while Knight is the founder of Nike, and Sandler is a movie star and NBA fanatic.

This show has the potential to go many different ways, but Walton is guaranteed to keep it interesting.

The hope for the NBA is that this new telecast can help promote League Pass.

Which in turn could influence more people to buy it.

Also, putting Walton on the games with less interest can help bring more eyes to the teams casual fans normally do not see.

This will undoubtedly be an interesting telecast and should be good for the viewership of the NBA as a whole.
