The Braves Own A Shocking Mark In The NL East

There are different ways to measure and determine how successful an MLB franchise is.

We have the most obvious ones, which is World Series titles.

However, we also have divisional titles, playoff berths, average attendance, profit and revenue, and several more.

If we count divisional titles – which makes sense because it tells a more accurate story about how a team can be dominant over a sustained period of time – the Atlanta Braves are the kings of the NL East.

The difference between the Braves and the rest of the pack when it comes to divisional titles is astounding.

Since winning the Fall Classic in 1995, the Braves have never ceased to compete, which is admirable and impressive.

If we count World Series titles exclusively, however, the landscape is a bit different.

Since 1995, the Braves and the Miami Marlins are tied with two World Series victories.

The Philadelphia Phillies and the Washington Nationals have one, and the New York Mets have zero.

We would have to ask both fan bases – the Braves and the Marlins – which situation they prefer.

In any case, both deserve their merit and consideration, because winning a World Series is extremely difficult to achieve.

The 2023 Braves look like bonafide contenders once again, but the Marlins might be a few years behind because they don’t have too many impact hitters.

We will have to count the Mets and Phillies as the Braves’ biggest threats in the quest for the NL East title.

Each and every one of those three squads has what it takes to win it all in late October or early November.
