The move is savvy, as it takes away someone who was key for the Chiefs special teams unit during their playoff game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

While he’s not a core player for the team’s defense, he’s a core part of their special teams unit.

He is a consistent part of their special teams unit and has only one game this season where he played under 61% of the snaps on special teams.

His consistency saw him play in 322 special teams snaps for the Chiefs, the most by any player on their roster this season.

While the Bengals can’t use Lammons, they now prevent their opponent from using him.
