Ravens RB Doesn’t Hold Back In His Frustration

Throughout the whole season, the Baltimore Ravens relied on their dominant running game to make the most of their damage.

Understandably, that approach only became more evident once Lamar Jackson was ruled out with a knee injury, as none of their backup QBs could efficiently fill in for the former MVP.

Needless to say, that put plenty of weight on their RB committee’s shoulders, which was a big concern given their history of injuries.

Notably, and after shaking off several injuries, J.K. Dobbins was one of their biggest contributors down the stretch.

That’s why it was surprising to see that the former Ohio State standout wasn’t on the field more often during their Wild Card round game vs. the Cincinnati Bengals.

Moreover, Dobbins didn’t hold down his frustration and questioned the team’s play-calling, stating that he should’ve been more involved in the offense.

“I’m a guy who feels like if I’m on the field all the time, I can help this team win, and I wasn’t,” Dobbins said, per The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec. “It’s the playoffs. Why am I not out there? Twelve carries? It’s the playoffs.”

Dobbins split carries with Gus Edwards for most of the night, logging 62 yards on 13 carries, while Edwards got 39 on 12 attempts.

He averaged a whopping 4.8 yards per carry, including a 15-yard run, so maybe he has a valid point.

But then again, the Ravens were quite close to winning the game and even had a shot at tying it on the very final play, so the OC might have done something right after all.
