Fans love a good plot twist in TV shows and movies.

However, fans aren’t much for plot twists with their NFL team.

But for sports analyst Nick Wright, he’s offering a crazy plot twist for the Chicago Bears.

While the idea makes sense to him, the Bears trading Justin Fields for Lamar Jackson is crazy.

Wright makes his case by pointing out the insane amount of cap space the Bears have for 2023.

He also talks about how the Baltimore Ravens “don’t want to pay their quarterback,” a reference of how the team failed to extend Jackson in 2022.

However, a “one-for-one” trade with these two quarterbacks won’t happen at all.

While Fields is much like Jackson, the Ravens can’t see him as an equal replacement for their current quarterback.

But Wright feels the scheme in Baltimore fits well for Fields.

He suggests the offense in Baltimore is built for a mobile quarterback, something which fits the bill of the young star in Chicago.

While this is true, the value here is lopsided.

Jackson has won an MVP and won a playoff game, something the young quarterback from Chicago can’t claim.

The Ravens will see this and ask for additional compensation, not an even trade of quarterbacks.

Depending on how the team feels about Fields, they could see a trade like fans saw in 2021 with Matthew Stafford.

If this is their asking price, the Bears are better off drafting a quarterback and trading their current quarterback to another team.

While the idea is fun, Wright’s trade theory is too crazy to believe.
