NFL Shares Historic Video Ahead Of Super Bowl

In just two weeks, NFL history will be made.

The matchup between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs, while momentous in its own right, will feature an NFL first.

This game, with a matchup of Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes, marks the first time that two Black quarterbacks will start against each other in a Super Bowl.

Doug Williams was the first-ever Black quarterback to start a Super Bowl and was also the first Black quarterback to win a Super Bowl.

This was an incredibly historic achievement and has since set an incredible example.

Since Williams, there have been over 100 Black starting quarterbacks in the NFL.

Hurts and Mahomes will be just the seventh and eighth black quarterbacks to start a game in the Super Bowl.

Mahomes is one of two Black quarterbacks to throw for over 5,000 yards in a single season and is one of four Black quarterbacks to win league MVP.

There is a clear change in the tides around the league, and Hurts and Mahomes are key contributors.

Along with this historic achievement for Mahomes and Hurts, there are countless other storylines surrounding this game.

Of those storylines, is the first-ever matchup of brothers in the Super Bowl, represented by Jason and Travis Kelce.

For many reasons, this year’s Super Bowl should be one to remember.

Unfortunately for NFL fans, we need to wait almost two weeks to watch this one play out.

Judging by all of the hype leading up to the game, it should be well worth the wait.
