There are currently just four teams alive in their hunt for the Lombardi trophy.

For those teams that are out of the race, now is the time to search for new members of their coaching staff.

With the NFL‘s coaching carousel being exceptionally crazy at the moment, many teams have been conducting interviews with coaching candidates across the league.

For one reason or another, there is a key coaching candidate who has yet to be interviewed.

As of this morning, Lou Anarumo has yet to be interviewed for a head coaching gig.

Anarumo has been a coach in the league for over ten years, including stints with the Miami Dolphins, New York Giants, and Cincinnati Bengals.

Although Anarumo has found great success while coaching in the league, he is being passed over for all of the current open coaching roles.

Will he get passed over during this cycle?

Anarumo is the Bengals’ defensive coordinator.

One reason for his lack of interview is the fact that the Bengals are still in the playoff race, and there is a possibility that teams aren’t reaching out to him for that reason.

A team like the Carolina Panthers, who have conducted nine head coaching interviews, are looking for a new leader for their team.

Why would they pass up Anarumo, a coach who has much more experience than many of the candidates that they have interviewed to this point?

Whatever the case, this is a growing story that we will be sure to update as more information is released.
