NFL Insider Reveals Tuesday DeMeco Ryans Update

The Houston Texans have been unable to find their coach of the future these past few seasons.
First, it was David Culley who only lasted one season, then it was Lovie Smith who did the same.
The revolving door of coaches in Houston is an organizational issue and a reason for their minimal success.
It is time for the Texans to hire the next head coach that can turn this franchise around.
From the looks of it, that is going to be San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans.
The #Texans second interview with #49ers DC DeMeco Ryans has concluded. He flew in last night, and met with the team’s brass this morning.

Once a coach gets a second interview with a team, the odds are good he will become their next coach.
Ryans seems to be the right man for the job for multiple reasons.
One is, he spent the majority of his career as a Texans linebacker.
He is familiar with the organization and what it takes to win in Houston.
Also, he is a tough-minded individual that should bring some stability to their locker room.
But, even with a great coach, most teams can only go as far as their quarterback will take them.
Currently, the Texans do not have any type of franchise quarterback in their locker room.
So it is clear, they will be looking to draft one with the second-overall pick.
Playing in the AFC South, the division seems up for grabs each year.
Meaning it will not take much for Ryans to turn this team into a division contender.
Ultimately, the Texans have plenty of holes to fill on their team.
But, finding the right head coach for the job might be the most important.
