Three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt deserves a standing ovation for his latest gesture.

He is known to extend a helping hand to those in need as proven by his own foundation that helps fund athletic programs across the country.

Likewise, he was able to raise $27 million for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.

This time he helped a Houston Texans fan pay for the funeral of her grandfather after seeing that she was selling Watt’s shoes and jersey to raise funds.

It’s an act that has touched the hearts of football fans everywhere and they can’t help but praise the Arizona Cardinals defensive end.

This Twitter user believes that though there’s a lot of negativity going on in the world, people like Watt give us hope.

It feels good to have sports heroes act that way outside the field: as genuine heroes.

Time and time again, Watt has proven to be a philanthropist because he never hesitates to lend assistance.

Be it a rookie seeking advice or a person needing help, Watt is ready to be of service.

That’s why this fan declared him as one of the best.

He is indeed one of the best because he exudes excellence on and off the field.

People Should Look Up To Watt

Young football players who are looking for a role model should look to Watt for inspiration.

He uses his position and influence to spread kindness.

He knows that a portion of his NFL fortune should be used to bless others.

No wonder a lot of people, even non-football fans, put him in high regard.

If that’s the case, this fan has started a petition to have Watt run for public office.

While it’s unlikely to see him hold a government position, Watt proves that you don’t need a designation to be a willing giver.
