People have been talking about Russell Westbrook and his future with the Los Angeles Lakers for months now.

Ever since it became apparent that the Lakers were not getting better during the season, fans started to speculate what his future held.

And we still don’t know.

Most reports say that LA is trying to package him in a trade deal but those reports also say he might end up sticking around for next season.

The speculation experienced a twist this past week when it was revealed that Westbrook and his agent, Thad Foucher, had parted ways and were no longer working together.

No one has insight into why the two split up but Evan Sidery has an idea:

“Seems pretty clear reading this that Russell Westbrook wants to leave the Lakers and his now former agent is against that idea.”

Does Sidery know what he’s talking about and is Westbrook angling to leave Los Angeles?

What are the chances this happens?

Will He Stay Or Will He Go?

Time is running out for the Lakers to trade Westbrook away before the regular season starts.

Since no movement has been made, some are thinking the Lakers are resigned to the idea of him coming back.

And what will the team do if he does?

Head coach Darvin Ham seems confident he can turn things around with Westbrook, he has faith in the former MVP.

Maybe he really can make magic out of Westbrook.

But if he can’t and the next season is like the last, Lakers fans are going to be furious.

LA needs to do absolutely everything in its power to avoid anything like last season.
