Mookie Betts is once again having a fantastic season.

There’s no question that the Boston Red Sox are sick about having traded him away.

Now with the Los Angeles Dodgers, Betts is still getting the job done, hitting for power and average while also putting on a defensive clinic and showing off his wheels.

Betts hit his 24th home run of the season last night as the Dodgers took it straight to their NL West rivals, the San Francisco Giants, defeating them by a final of 9-5 in the second game of their four-game set, securing at least a series split.

Blake Harris tweeted about Betts’ home run last night, and how he’s quickly approaching his career high, 32, which he reached in 2018, his AL MVP season.

Betts still has a ton of upside and is playing out of his mind right now.

He could very well reach 32 home runs this year, or potentially even pass it and set a new career mark.

He’s been swinging a hot bat and he led the way last night as the Dodgers picked up win No. 70 on the season.

The Dodgers managed to stay 11.5 games ahead of the San Diego Padres and expanded their lead over San Francisco to 19.5 games.

Betts has been providing a spark for the Dodgers ever since they acquired him from the Red Sox prior to the 2020 season.

In addition to his 24 home runs, he’s hitting .270 with 55 RBI and an .877 OPS.

It’s clear that his ribcage injury didn’t slow him down at all.

His power numbers are right about where they were when he won the AL MVP Award.

We’ll see if he can match his total from that year or potentially even pass it.
