Tuesday night was one filled with excitement for the Los Angeles Dodgers and their fans.

Not only did the Dodgers pick up win No. 98 on the season.

They clinched the NL West division title for the ninth time in the past 10 years.

But in addition to that, there was some solid defense on the Dodgers’ end as they blanked the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

One play in particular that stands out is the sliding grab made by Mookie Betts.

Betts had to retreat into the corner to corral the ball, but he slid gracefully and came up with it.

After the play, cameras caught him being quite impressed with himself.

Mookie Amazes Himself

Can you blame him?

Even Betts was impressed by his play.

He certainly knows how to amaze baseball fans in all walks of life, and he did that last night.

But he also amazed the fan in himself by making such a spectacular play.

Betts can do a little bit of everything out on the baseball field.

He can hit, run, play defense, and make some spectacular highlight reel plays, just like the one he made out in right field last night.

But what’s amazing about him is that he’s just as much of a fan as the rest of us are.

Even he enjoys seeing some highlight reel plays, especially if he’s the one who makes them.

The kid in him certainly came out on that play.

It’s hard not to be impressed by that.

It’s okay for him to admire his handiwork.

He’s earned that right.

Now, he’ll have a chance to make some more of those plays in the postseason.
