MLB stars are often immortalized in pictures.

Unique moments such as Barry Bonds lifting his arms after hitting home run number 715, Derek Jeter‘s bloody face after making a legendary catch in the stands, Roberto Clemente‘s portraits, Sandy Koufax celebrating on the mound, Carlton Fisk celebrating his Game 6 World Series walk-off homer, and others have been captured in photos for fans to enjoy throughout time.

MLB analyst Ben Verlander posted a picture on Twitter that has the potential to go down as one of the most spectacular in recent memory.

“This photo of Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout may just be the sickest photo of all time,” Verlander tweeted.

In the picture, Ohtani and Trout are about to shake hands with flames in the background, after the former hit a home run against the New York Yankees.

Despite the Los Angeles Angels being on the cusp of elimination, the atmosphere in Angel Stadium was very energetic.

Of course, when Ohtani took Frankie Montas deep, the stadium exploded.

A Picture That We Will Remember With A Smile

In a few years, we will all look at the picture and remember the time when Trout and Ohtani, two of the single most dominating athletes of our time, played together for some time in the Angels.

Sadly, they haven’t even gone to a postseason together, but fans got the chance to watch them hit homer and after homer, and make spectacular plays all around the diamond.

The picture was taken by Blaine Ohigashi, photo assistant at Sports Illustrated.

The photographer himself thought the picture was pretty cool.

MLB fans would love to see more pictures like this one.

It’s one of the coolest we have ever seen.
