Lamar Jackson Tweets About His Injury Status

The Baltimore Ravens are heading into Wild Card Weekend needing quarterback Lamar Jackson.

However, the star quarterback has been out since December 4, when he suffered an injury against the Denver Broncos.

Since then, the Ravens haven’t been looking that good on offense, as they desperately need Jackson back.

But his return won’t happen soon.

Jackson took to Twitter on Thursday to give his fans an update about his injury.

In a two-part tweet, Jackson reveals he has a PCL grade two sprain that’s on the borderline of being a three.

Thank you everyone for your support and concerns regarding my injuries. I want to give you all an update as I am in the recovery process. I’ve suffered a PCL grade 2 sprain on the borderline of a strain 3. There is still inflammation surrounding my knee and my knee

He then reveals there’s “still inflammation surrounding” his knee and how it “remains unstable.”

While he’s “in good spirits,” his team is missing the biggest part of their offense.

Their offense is averaging 0.8 touchdowns per game without Jackson, a huge downfall for the team.

They also average only 17 first-downs without him, leading to issues with pushing the ball downfield.

However, the numbers in the passing game can be deceptive for fans.

Jackson left the season averaging 186.8 passing yards per game.

These numbers aren’t too much different without him, as they averaged 154.6 passing yards without him.

However, the passing touchdowns have taken a tremendous hit.

Under Jackson, the team’s touchdown passing percentage was at 5.2%.

Without him, the team’s touchdown percentage is down to a 1.6%.

The difference is game-changing for the Ravens.

Add in how Jackson makes plays with his feet and it takes away the only weapon they have on offense.

While the star quarterback won’t make it back this season, these numbers might get the Ravens a reason to keep him.
