August 23 would be the 44th birthday of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

Because of this, the entire internet has been filled with celebrations, tributes, and memories of the Black Mamba and the way he changed the league and touched so many hearts across the world.

One person who was saluting Bryant was none other than Kyrie Irving.

On Twitter, Irving posted a touching tweet about the late, great Bryant.

“You and all the angels celebrate up in Paradise!” Irving said.

He concluded the message with, “The Black Mamba lives on…..”

Bryant changed Irving’s life and he actually inspired many of the great superstars we love today.

Bryant’s Legacy

Irving isn’t alone when it comes to his love for Bryant.

It’s nearly impossible to find a single NBA star today who wasn’t greatly influenced by Bryant.

The way that he played the game and pushed himself and demanded so much from his teammates changed the lives of many.

No matter who he was playing with and who he was playing against, Bryant was 100% dedicated to the game.

He always left it all on the court and never settled for anything less than greatness.

This had a huge impact on many young players who would someday become All-Stars.

Guys like Jayson Tatum, Trae Young, and many more have publicly stated just how crucial Bryant was to the game and the sort of players they are today.

It’s unlikely that we will ever see another NBA icon like Bryant.

It was about more than just his skills and his rings, it was about the sort of athlete and man he was.

Bryant will always be considered one of the greatest of all time.
