Klay Thompson Has Started The Year Off Right

Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors has heard some of the consistency complaints against him and has come back with a fierce response.
Thompson has been very consistent lately, scoring 31, 54, 30, and then 29 points over his last four games.
He has kick-started 2023 in a big way, even though his Warriors are still struggling.

In January, Thompson has averaged 37.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.3 three-pointers per game with a stat line of 49/42/91%.
He is now leading the NBA in three-pointers per game during this month.
Thompson has been good for 48.8% from the floor and 42.2% from beyond the three-point line.
As great as he has been, his Warriors are still experiencing a lot of ups and down.
During January, they have only won 1 of 4 so far with their worst loss surprisingly coming against the Orlando Magic, who defeated them by 14 points on January 7.
The team has a slew of sharpshooters but the team is still losing games they shouldn’t, showing that the team’s defense is not operating as it should and there is plenty of room to grow.
If the team can figure itself out and head coach Steve Kerr can work out the roster issues, they could turn this season around and have a strong presence in the playoffs.
That is especially true if Thompson continues to play like this.
Right now, the Warriors are the 8th team in the West with a 20-21 record.
They should be able to pull off a few more wins soon as they are facing off against the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, and Washington Wizards this week.
However, those are all road games and the team’s road record is atrocious this year so no win is a sure thing.
