Julius Randle Provides Massive Assist For His Team

The New York Knicks pulled off a close but substantial victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
Their 105-103 win came even though RJ Barrett only scored 16 points, Jalen Brunson only put up 14, and Quentin Grimes only 10.

Thankfully, Julius Randle was there to pick up the slack in a very big way.
He scored 36 points, 13 rebounds, and had 4 assists.
To make things even better, Randle also sank 8 of his 12 three-point attempts.
Randle was dominant on both sides of the court and was having no trouble leading his team against their fierce Eastern Conference rivals.
During the 2021-22 season, Randle heard nothing but jeers from fans who were disappointed by his lackluster output.
That season came after his Most Improved Player Award, but Randle wasn’t looking like the powerful star he once was.
He took the criticism to heart and has come out swinging in 2022-23.
His current average is 24.6 points, 10.9 rebounds, and 4 assists.
Those are career highs for both points and rebounds, showing that perhaps last season was just a fluke and that Randle is back to his normal, amazing self.
Last season, many loyal Knicks followers were crying out for Randle to be traded.
But you don’t hear those cries anymore.
The team has a good thing going with Randle, Brunson, and Barrett working well together.
Will that trio be enough to lead the team into the postseason?
Right now they are the seventh team in the East which means they’d be fighting in the play-in tournament for their playoff position.
Randle has scored more than 30 points twice in the last week.
Can he do it again?
