Jayson Tatum Is Creating History For The Celtics

The Boston Celtics are not only the best team in the East but they are currently the greatest team in the NBA right now.
There are many reasons for this and multiple players are performing at the best of their abilities.
But it’s no secret that Jayson Tatum is the biggest star on the team and is possibly headed for his first MVP trophy.

Tatum is doing things that no Celtics player ever has.
No player for Boston has ever averaged above 30 points per game in a season.
But Tatum is putting up an average of 30.8 points per game currently, which means that he could literally become one of the best Celtics players ever by the end of the season.
Aside from this historic feat, Tatum is doing more than anyone else for the Celtics.
Right now, he is averaging 30.8 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 4.2 assists.
His field goal percentage is a whopping 47.1% and his three-pointers are good 35.1% of the time.
That’s a step up from last season, when Tatum’s 26.9 points, 8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists helped his team go all the way to the NBA Finals.
While Tatum is surely happy with setting records for his team, he’s more interested in redeeming himself and the rest of the Celtics squad and getting back to the championship.
Tatum spent his summer working on his physicality and other aspects of his game and that shows.
He is faster, he is more accurate, and he is making smarter plays.
It’s no surprise that so many people think he is clearly in the running for MVP this season.
Even if he doesn’t achieve that and even if his Celtics don’t arrive at the Finals again, Tatum has a great shot at changing Celtics history.
