Home, garage catch fire in Watervliet

WATERVLIET, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Crews responded to a fire at a home and garage on Fourth Avenue in the city of Watervliet Tuesday afternoon.

Fire officials said three people got out safely and several pets were also saved. The Red Cross is providing aid to four adults and a 14-year old.

Investigators believe the home can be salvaged, but the garage is likely a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
