With the NBA season officially starting in just a few short weeks, there are many people making predictions about what will come.

Some are saying that the Los Angeles Clippers will make the Finals, others are saying that the Cleveland Cavaliers will rule the East, while many others think the Golden State Warriors will once again be the most dominant team in the league.

Then there is plenty of speculation about the players within the league.

CBS Sports compiled their list of the top 12 NBA players for the 2022-23 season.

As expected, players like Stephen Curry, Luka Doncic, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant made the list.

And sitting above them all at number one is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

That’s a huge honor for the Greek Freak and a challenge for him to reach new heights in the upcoming season.

Based on what he’s said before, he’s up for that challenge.

Comeback Season

Just two seasons ago, Antetokounmpo and his Bucks stormed past the Phoenix Suns to win the NBA Finals.

Then, last season, the team didn’t make it out of the playoffs and went home empty-handed.

Antetokounmpo has said how dissatisfied he was with the way things ended last season, and how intent he is about returning to the Finals.

Many people speculate that he is going to come back with more fire in his belly than ever before.

The chances of him winning another MVP trophy are high: he is young, he is healthy, and he is driven.

The rest of the men on this list won’t make it easy on Antetokounmpo and being the best player in the league will not come without a fight.

But the Bucks superstar has said he is not only ready for a fight, but he welcomes one.
