It’s hard to predict whether the 2022 NFL season will be Tom Brady‘s last.

After all, he was still one of the league’s best players last season after finishing with 5,316 yards and 43 touchdowns.

He is capable of putting up the same numbers, especially with his top targets on offense returning.

Likewise, the discipline he puts in taking care of his body is second to none.

That’s why he continues to play at a high level at an age wherein most players are already retired or coaching.

But what matters most for the 44-year-old play-caller is winning another Super Bowl.

He is already the winningest player in that regard and adding another ring would be a perfect ending to his legendary career.

Capturing Super Bowl LVII will give Brady eight Super Bowl wins, three more than Charles Haley who has five.

However, a former NFL tight end thinks that the three-time league MVP is targeting a higher number.

Greg Olsen said in his recent guesting on The Adam Schefter Podcast, “I don’t think Tom’s career is over until he gets 10 Super Bowls. Anything less would be selling himself short.”

Aside from targeting that number, Brady might also be pushing to unseat George Blanda as the oldest person who played in the NFL.

Tough For Brady To Win Ten Super Bowls

Olsen’s target for Brady might be too optimistic because it’s difficult to win a Super Bowl every year.

Even the Buccaneers lost to the eventual Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams last season.

A lot of factors including salary cap management and injury reduction must happen for teams to have a chance of winning the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

Yes, Tampa Bay has what it takes to reach the 2022 postseason.

But the competition will only get tougher from there and they might not survive the gauntlet.
