Without question, Derrick Henry is the heart and soul of the Tennessee Titans’ offense.

Yes, head coach Mike Vrabel found a way to keep on winning even when their star running back was out due to a foot injury.

But imagine how great they could be during those games if King Henry was dominating from the backfield.

All defensive players agree that tackling him is a problem.

That’s why he is part of 2,000-yard club with only seven other people.

He was on pace for that feat again, if not for the Jones fracture that ended his regular season at eight games.

By then, the former Alabama standout already had 937 yards and ten touchdowns.

Playing all 17 games could have made him the only player in league history to have multiple 2,000-yard seasons.

After getting healthy, Henry now focuses on wearing down opponents again.

Therefore, he needs a ton of motivation to keep on playing at his best.

Sourcing the drive to play isn’t hard for the two-time All-Pro.

Henry said, “I get motivated by anything, the doubters, whatever they want to be, I am definitely motivated and ready to go.”

That’s not good news for the rest of the league because Henry is back with a vengeance.

Henry Hopes To Bring The Titans To The Super Bowl

He was able to return in time for the 2021 Divisional Round Game at home.

But Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals spoiled the party by winning on the road.

Henry played in that game but had pedestrian numbers.

That disappointing output could be a part of the motivation to excel in 2022.

Barring any injury, reaching 2,000 yards shouldn’t be difficult for him.

But more importantly, he cannot afford another slip-up if the Titans will have a shot at the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
