Many people were wondering what would happen if players from the Phoenix Suns addressed the current situation with Robert Sarver.

It looks like we are about to find out.

Sarver, the owner of the Suns, was fined $10 million and suspended for an entire year from the league due to racist and sexist comments he made over the years.

To some, that ruling from the association simply wasn’t enough and amounted to little more than a slap on the wrist.

The reaction to the judgment has been harsh from many and now Chris Paul is giving his two cents about Sarver and the way the NBA is handling him.

“Like many others, I reviewed the report. I was and am horrified and disappointed by what I read. This conduct especially towards women is unacceptable and must never be repeated,” Paul said on Twitter.

He continued, “I am of the view that the sanctions fell short in truly addressing what we can all agree was atrocious behavior. My heart goes out to all of the people that were affected.”

Will that be enough for the league to do more about Sarver and his suspension?

The Suns Star Speaks

Paul’s statement about Sarver guarantees that this saga will continue for at least a bit longer.

You can expect that more NBA stars will speak their minds and Commissioner Adam Silver will be forced to defend his actions and the ruling against Sarver.

It would be shocking to see the league hand out a harsher sentence.

But it would also be shocking to see them do nothing if more and more players push back.

This puts the league in a very tricky situation and their headache is only going to get worse.
