It didn’t take long for Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young to attain success in the NFL.

He was named the 2020 Defensive Rookie of the Year after compiling 30 solo tackles, 7.5 sacks, and four forced fumbles for the NFC East squad.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to replicate or surpass those numbers in his sophomore year due to a season-ending ACL tear in his right knee.

The former Ohio State standout ended up playing only nine games and finished with 1.5 sacks to go with 10 solo tackles.

Raring to go back to peak form, Young is spending the offseason regaining his strength, especially in his injured knee.

That’s why he opted to train with one of the game’s best defensive players.

The Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala tweeted, “And in actual football news …@youngchase907 was training with @VonMiller in Colorado.”

He also shared a picture of Miller and Young with Dunamis Health and Performance founder Chris Knott.

Aside from getting back to game shape, this training is a perfect opportunity for Young to get pointers from the Super Bowl 50 MVP.

Young’s road to recovery is a welcome break from the negative news surrounding the Commanders due to the alleged unsafe working environment within the front office.

It has reached a point wherein the House Oversight Committee has to issue a subpoena for team owner Dan Snyder for refusing to testify.

Young Will Make Up For Lost Time

He would rather forget about last season and bounce back stronger in 2021.

The Commanders badly needed his return after finishing 22nd in total yards allowed last season (359.3 per game).

They also ranked 25th in points allowed per game (25.5).

Young’s return should help stabilize Washington’s defense, especially their pass rush.
