The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys last night, 31-14.

They not only lost this game but there was also a scary incident with one of their players, with his status very much in question moving forward.

However, the Buccaneers staff released a very positive update this morning.

Russell Gage Jr.’s injury last night, although a bit different, was unfortunately reminiscent of Damar Hamlin‘s injury.

Many players gathered together in prayer for Gage, and the game was stopped for several minutes while team doctors and medical staff intervened.

Thankfully, Gage was seen moving this morning and was able to move all of his extremities.

With blunt-force trauma injuries and concussions, movement in all limbs is one of the biggest factors in determining how severe an injury is, but Gage seems to have passed that test.

Gage is in his fifth NFL season.

He spent the first four years of his career as a member of the Atlanta Falcons, where he had 193 catches, 2,065 receiving yards, and nine total touchdowns.

The Buccaneers saw Gage’s talent, and in the offseason, he was signed to a three-year, $30 million contract with the team.

Although he has made minimal impact on the Buccaneers in terms of overall statistics, Gage will be a role player on this roster moving forward.

The news surrounding Gage has been incredibly positive up to this point, and we certainly are pulling for him as his career continues.

We wish nothing but the best for Gage and his family moving forward.
