Browns Confirm A Major Coaching Interview Thursday

After the conclusion of the 2022 NFL regular season this past weekend, many teams went right to work, scheduling interviews for their coaching vacancies.
The Cleveland Browns were among the teams that fired a key member of their staff, firing defensive coordinator Joe Woods.
Now they are on the hunt for a new defensive coordinator and have announced a key interview that’s scheduled for today.

The Browns are interviewing Brian Flores, who has been a coach in the NFL since 2008.
He has worked for three different teams, including the New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and Pittsburgh Steelers.
Flores’ experience should bring invaluable experience to whichever team decides to bring him on as their newest coach.
In his career to date, Flores has had multiple different jobs, varying from special teams coach, and defensive assistant, all the way to head coach.
Flores has worked under two of the NFL’s best coaches of all time, Mike Tomlin and Bill Belichick.
While he is interviewing with the Browns, we would not be surprised if he was also asked to interview for other teams that have coaching vacancies, either as head coach or another position.
Flores has gotten the short end of the stick in his NFL tenure, at least when he was a member of the Dolphins organization.
Many have questioned the rationale of the Dolphins’ front office firing Flores, considering that they had a winning record at the time of his firing.
With his past aside, Flores is primed for a new role on a new team.
