Andrew Benintendi has had a solid season in 2022.
Between the Kansas City Royals and the New York Yankees, Benintendi is hitting .308 with four home runs and 50 RBI.
The Yankees acquired him to help bolster their outfield depth at the trade deadline, and he has so far been exactly what the Yankees have needed.
Benintendi also owns an elite mark this season, and he’s tied with his teammate Aaron Judge for this mark.
He and Judge are both tied for second in the American League in extra-base hits with 41.
Jose Abreu of the Chicago White Sox is in first with 46 extra-base hits.

Benintendi has been a catalyst this year.
Though his power numbers aren’t quite where they have been in years past, he’s still getting on base and getting plenty of hits, most notably extra-base hits.
That’s about all you can ask for in a catalyst-type player like Benintendi.
He’s been a spark plug this season and has been consistent at the plate.
This is quite a good mark and he’s in some pretty good company for it too, with Abreu and his own teammate in Judge, especially since Benintendi doesn’t have near the power numbers that Judge and Abreu have.
But he is still getting hits and getting on base.
He’s been one of the most consistent run producers in the game this season.
He is a free agent at the end of the year as well.
His ability to get on base and pick up extra-base hits will definitely have some teams checking in on his availability this offseason.
We’ll see if he can keep this run up and continue to be a threat for the Yankees.
