2 MLB Teams In For Disappointing 2023 Seasons

The MLB offseason has seen tons of players movement, and star players changing teams.

But, not every team has improved much this offseason.

There are a few who have high expectations but will most likely fall short.

Here are the two MLB teams in for a disappointing season.

1. San Francisco Giants

One team that has a rich history of winning is the San Francisco Giants.

They came into this offseason with the idea of greatly improving their roster.

With plenty of money to spend, all signs pointed to the Giants paying up for a star player or two.

Instead, all Giants fans have had nothing but disappointment and heartbreak.

The Giants were one of the two teams in on Aaron Judge, before seeing him go back to the Yankees.

Subsequently, they turned their focus to signing star shortstop Carlos Correa.

They agreed on a massive deal with Correa, but issues with his physical saw the deal scrapped.

After missing out on two of the biggest names in free agency, the Giants and their fans enter next season disappointed.

The top player they signed was outfielder Mitch Haniger, but he is not on the level of Correa or Judge.

Despite making some smaller moves, the Giants are far worse than the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres.

At best it seems like they are a third-place team in the NL West, and in for another disappointing season.

2. Chicago White Sox

Is it possible for a team to be the most disappointing in back-to-back seasons?

Well, it looks like the Chicago White Sox are going to make a run at it.

After a season where the White Sox were favored to win the AL Central and finished in second with an 81-81 record.

But, after doing almost nothing in the offseason, it appears the White Sox are in for another poor season.

Chicago lost Jose Abreu to the Houston Astros, and the only impact player they added was Andrew Benintendi.

Also, they have an injury-ridden team with the likes of Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez who consistently miss games.

Their starting pitching after Dylan Cease remains a question mark as well.

It would be a surprise to see the White Sox contending in 2023.
